Apprentice Panel Beater

Panel Beaters repair damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic body work on motor vehicles. Panel beaters perform a variety of tasks to repair damaged vehicles including replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels; filling panel depressions, then filing grinding and sanding those surfaces; cutting and joining replacement sections, removing damaged panels and parts or handle upholstery and hardware on the vehicles. Panel beaters can work on a variety of jobs and even restore and custom design vintage and other specialty vehicles. The use of heavy duty mechanical, welding and hydraulic equipment is often required, so an understanding of, and ability to adhere to safety requirements is very important.
