Australian Trade College, Western Sydney
The Australian Trade College Western Sydney (formerly Australian Technical College, Western Sydney) is an Independent Anglican Senior High School for students in Years 11 and 12 who wish to commence an apprenticeship whilst studying for the Higher School Certificate. From 2011 we will cater for students in Years 9 and 10 who wish to follow a trade pathway.
The College came into being in November 2006 when a Consortium of The Master Plumbers Association of NSW, the Master Builders Association of NSW, the Master Painters Australia NSW Association, National Electrical & Communications of Australia, the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW, Restaurant and Catering NSW, the Hospitality Training Network and the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation won the tender to form a school. Representatives from those key industry and education bodies now sit on the school’s Education and Training Committee.
