Carly Haynes
Car Salesperson
Car salespersons sell motor vehicles, vehicle accessories and parts in retail and wholesale establishments. The role of a salesperson is to match customers with vehicles best suited to their needs and budget. Car salespersons generally advise customers on the product range, price, delivery, warranties and produce use associated with the vehicle they wish to buy, and introduce customers to a variety of potential vehicles by demonstrating the features and taking them on test drives. Personal interaction is a large part of being a car salesperson, so good personal and communication skills are important qualities to have.

The Association represents the interests, at the national level, of over 100,000 retail motor trade businesses with a combined turnover of over $160 billion and which employ over 308,000 people. MTAA is therefore the largest ‘stand-alone’ small business association in Australia.
